Porto Airport has a metro line that connects with the city centre.
It is the most recommended option for budget travellers, as it stands for a fast and economic mean to reach the city centre.
Line E
Line E stands for the purple line, which covers the route from Estadio do Dragao to Porto Airport.
Stops: Porto Airport, Botica, Verdes, Esposade, Custóias, Fonte do Cuco, Senhora da Hora, Sete Bicas, Via Rápida / Viso, Ramalde, Francos, Casa da Música, Carolina Michaelis, Lapa, Trindade, Bolhao, 24 de Agosto, Heroísmo, Campanha, Estádio do Dragao.
Frequency is about every 20-30 minutes and the trip to downtown takes 30 minutes.
To the city centre
Trindade station is the main metro stop in the city centre. It only takes 26 minutes to get there from the airport.
Service hours: 06:00 am to 01:00 am.
Further connections
Note that at Senhora da Hora station passengers are able to connect to the rest of Porto metro lines.
Fares
The cost of ticket to Estadio do Dragao is about 2 € by purchasing Andante Azul ticket (one-way ride). You can use the card within the next 1:15 h.
Please note that the trip from Porto Airport to Estadio do Dragao requires a 4 zone ticket.
